David W. Pentico

Age 82, of the South Hills, passed away in his sleep on Tuesday February 20, 2024. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Dartmouth College in 1963 and received his Doctorate Degree from Carnegie Mellon University in 1971. He worked at prominent universities throughout his career before retiring from Duquesne University. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara (Bacon) Pentico;  his children, Christine (William) Amos and Michael Pentico; sister Ruth Searle and brother John Pentico. Services will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to a charity of one's choice. The family wishes to thank Providence Point Health Care and Bridges Hospice for all their loving care of David.
