Dorothy E. (Wolfram) Simon

In her 100th year, peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2025. Beloved wife for nearly 60 years of the late Henry G. Simon; devoted mother of Janet L. (Mike) Nath, Carol A. (Chuck) Keffer and Diane M. (Sandy) Stevenson; loving grandmother of Gregg, Brian, Joe, C.J., Kimberly and Kevin; great grandmother of Gavin, Ian, Samantha, Mackenzie, Caleb, Abby, Luke, Reese, Gia and Lilly; sister of Joann Dunn, the late Sue, Sally, Shirley, Nancy, Jack, Frank, Blanche and Billy; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dot was among the ‘Rosie the Riveters’ during WWII. She played the base fiddle, sang and yodeled for all of her life. Dorothy was a devout member of St. Anne Church in Castle Shannon and will fondly be remembered as the ‘Pie Lady’. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes – Castle Shannon at 1008 Castle Shannon Boulevard on Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Anne Church (St. Paul of the Cross Parish), Castle Shannon on Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock. Entombment will follow in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum. If desired, memorials would be appreciated to St. Paul of the Cross Parish, 400 Hoodridge Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15234.
