Elizabeth I. "Grandma" Jones

Age 89, on Monday March 6, 2023, Betty passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Wife of the late James "Pappy" Jones; survived by her children, Betti (Jim) Smee, Judy (Scott) Repp, Jimmy (Nancy) Jones and Jackie (Denny) Brown; also survived by her 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was a fierce defender of her children and grandchildren, her grandkids could do no wrong! She was the "fun" grandma, and as one grandson put it, she definitely won the game of life. She insisted that EVERYONE call her grandma, and she gave a hug to everyone she met. She was always the life of the party. A wedding wasn't a wedding until she sang the Hokey Pokey. Grandma was an avid sports fan of all sports - from kid's soccer, hockey and professional Pittsburgh teams. Unfortunately she won't be able to do her March Madness poll this year. She introduced all of her grandkids to the game of poker, and hosted weekly poker games. She was famous for her cookies and she baked them for all her friends, loved ones and acquaintances. She loved the beach, Christmas Eve, taking walks, parties, Sunday breakfasts, her kids, grandkids and her late husband Jim. Oh Grammy, we know you loved us more! Friends will be received at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, on Friday from 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian will be offered in St Teresa Kolkata Parish, St. Pius X Church on Saturday at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gallagher Hospice 1370 Washington Pike Bridgeville, PA 15017.
