Emily Munkachy Obituary

Age 83, of Mount Lebanon, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020. Beloved wife for 65 years of Dr. Louis Munkachy; devoted mother of Susan Pacilio (her partner Ed Dukstein) and George Munkachy (his wife Paula); loving grandmother of Alex, Nicholas, Stephanie, Laura, Becca, Julie and Diana; great-grandmother of Conor and Norah; sister of Stephen Botos (his wife Carole). Emily, along with her husband and infant son George emigrated from Budapest, Hungary following the Hungarian revolt of 1956. She took great pride in her Hungarian heritage, and in her family who will always remember, among many other things, her superb culinary skills. Her holiday meals were always very special. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was practical, down to earth and a person of gracious hospitality. She will be greatly missed. Services will be private.
