Eric Andrew Metzmaier

Eric Andrew Metzmaier, 27, of Bethel Park, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

Beloved son of Brian and Autumn (Barati) Metzmaier; brother of Adam (Natalie Ewing), Justin, and Jordin Metzmaier; grandson of Sarah (the late James) Metzmaier, Andrew Barati, and Carey (Patrick) Bruce. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and his dog, Rylnn.

After graduating from Pittsburgh Technical College for HVAC Eric changed course and with his business partner, Jake Janaszek, started a successful tree cutting business. Eric took the time to teach his brothers how to ride motorcycles and fix anything that was broken. Eric was an avid outdoors man, he loved hunting, fishing and boating. He enjoyed sitting by a good fire and watching the sunset on the Allegheny River in East Brady and on the Mon River.

His departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, it is gravely felt by his entire family and countless friends. The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time and asks that you plant a tree in Eric's honor, in lieu of flowers. 

Friends received on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 4 until 8pm at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15216. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 21, at 11am at St. Patrick Parish, Brady’s Bend, 915 State Route 68 Brady’s Bend, PA 16028. Please meet at church. Interment to follow in St. Mary Cemetery, East Brady, PA 16028.
