Eugene 'Gene' Micheli

Age 80, of Brookline, surrounded by his loving family, passed away on Friday morning, December 19, 2025 of esophageal cancer. Beloved husband and best friend for 60 years of Mary Ellen (Froehlich) Micheli; proud father of Anthony (Karen) Micheli, Debra (Dan) Rea and Christopher (Jenn) Micheli; loving ‘Nonno’ of Nicholas, Jacob and Isabelle Micheli; Cassandra and Ashley Rea; Aidan and Quinn Micheli; also survived by many nieces and nephews; devoted son of the late Peter and Providence (Sodini) Micheli; brother of the late Peter J. Micheli, Jr.

Gene enjoyed traveling, bowling, playing cards and especially his volunteer work at Overbrook Senior Center and Brookline Food Bank.

Gene worked for the Volpatt Tile Company from the time he graduated from Saint Justin High School until he retired in 2007.

The family wishes to mention a special thank you to Gene’s many relatives and friends for their prayers and phone calls during his cancer treatment. They would also like to thank Dr. Shetty, Dr. Senchak and the oncology staff at the Dunlap Center who were always so cheerful and uplifting.

Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon on Monday, December 22nd from 3:00 until 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pius X Church 3040 Pioneer Avenue, Pittsburgh on Tuesday morning, December 23rd at 10 o'clock (Everyone please meet at Church). Interment will be Private.
