Francis "Fran" Iannotta

Francis J. “Fran” Iannotta, age 64 of Mt. Lebanon passed away peacefully on Saturday June 4, 2022 at his home. Son of the late Victor and Flora Mariano Iannotta; beloved husband of Patricia Bilock Iannotta for 25 years; loving father of Flora, John, and Joseph Iannotta of Pittsburgh and Clare Iannotta Daniel (Wallace) of Raleigh, NC; grandfather of Flora Elizabeth (Ellie) Daniel; brother of Victoria Iannotta (Roberto) of Philadelphia; brother in law of Joe Bilock (Deanie), Joanne Price (Mike), Jon Bilock all of Pittsburgh and Beth Shannon (Shawn) of Santa Ana, CA; also survived by many nieces and nephews and dog Sylvie. Fran was a graduate of Marist College and The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. He was passionate about his career in the Hotel Industry which took him to cities all around the country. He returned home to Pittsburgh in 1986. He was the General Manager of the Holiday Inn Oakland, University Center. Fran enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, preparing gourmet meals, listening to the Grateful Dead and helping others figure out their questions about life. He was keenly interested in American history, folk music, woodworking, and saltwater aquarium keeping. His array of skills allowed him to fix just about anything. He is remembered for his intellect, pragmaticism, charm, and devotion to his family. He will be dearly missed. Friends and family will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road Mt. Lebanon on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Friday at Blessed Trinity Parish, Holy Angels Church, Hays. Private family interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Culinary Institute of America at www.ciagiving.com in memory of Frank Iannotta. Proceeds will support a student scholarship.
