Gloria M. (Seiler) Boden

Gloria M. (Seiler) Boden, of Castle Shannon, passed away peacefully, at the age of 88, on June 10th, 2023.  She was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Loving mother of Margaret Boden, John (Patricia) Boden, and the late Fred (Carol) Boden; devoted grandma of Justin Sheldon, Jennifer Boden, Samantha Vislay, John Boden Jr., Jessica Boden, Chelsea Boden, and Taylor Boden; beloved “Great” to 12 great grandchildren. Gloria is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  She is proceeded in death by her parents Simon and Mary Seiler as well as her brothers William, Robert, Bernard, and Daniel Seiler.
 

An avid quilter, her home was filled to the brim with machines, sergers, materials, patterns and much more.  Her creations, a testament to her skilled hand and creative mind, warmed bodies and hearts alike. She found joy in the simplest things in life. Gloria delighted in the company of Adrian Monk, the crew of NCIS and a good mystery novel.  She found a parallel between the intricate mysteries in her books and the complex jigsaw puzzles that she completed each day.

During her working life she was a nurse whose compassion and care knew no boundaries. She was a beacon of determination and hard work, her resilience illuminating every endeavor she undertook.  Daughter, Friend, Wife, Mother, Aunt, Nurse, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother. Each role she played in her life, Gloria did so with unwavering dedication and a warmth that touched all who knew her.

May her love continue to spread through the cherished memories she gifted her loved ones.  Gloria touched so many lives in ways only she could. Her life was a tapestry of care and love that will forever be remembered and celebrated.

Friends received Wednesday, June 14, from 2-4 and 6-8pm, and Thursday, June 15, from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes, 1008 Castle Shannon Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15234. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 16, at 9:30am at Saint Paul of the Cross Parish, Saint Anne Church, 400 Hoodridge Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15234.

Interment will take place at a later date.
