Helen Miller Campbell, age 100, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, at Concordia of Mt. Lebanon.
Helen was born in Pittsburgh in 1925 to the late Arthur H. Miller and Clara (Ebert) Miller. Helen is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 76 years, David W. Campbell and her sister, Ruth Miller Leidheiser. She is survived by her daughter, Claire Campbell (James) Schuchman; her son, David C. (Reecie) Campbell; and her loving grandchildren, Rachel (Eric) Cost, James Campbell (Marissa) Schuchman, Micah Campbell (Corey) Porter, Meghan Campbell (Tim) Murray, and Melissa Campbell (Chris) Porter.
Helen graduated from South Hills High School and went on to attend Penn State University, where she was an active member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority, inducted into the Omicron Nu Home Economics Honor Society, and received several scholarships on her way to earning a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics. After college, she taught Home Economics at Langley High School.
As World War II came to an end and young men returned home, Helen met her neighbor from across the street, David W. Campbell, who later became her husband. The two were married on December 26, 1949. Helen continued teaching until 1956, when she left the classroom to devote herself to raising her family. As her family grew older, she began a new career as Dietician for a local restaurant. In 1987, she ended her career at the restaurant, and the couple started a new life in Naples, Florida.
Helen and Dave were active, lifelong members of Mt. Lebanon United Presbyterian Church. She was involved in Presbyterian Women, Sunday School, and the children’s ministry, where she quietly shaped the lives of many young
people. She will be remembered for her devotion to family, her faith and her love of teaching.
Family and friends are welcome at the Mt. Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 255 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon, Pa 15216, on April 18, 2026, where a visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service at 12 noon.
