Age 86, of Mt. Lebanon, peacefully on Sunday, April 11, 2021. Born on January 18, 1935 a daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Teresky) Stanko. Beloved wife of Gilbert King; devoted mother of Karen M. King (David Allder) and Michele K. Crowther; loving grandmother of Brittany and Brenton Crowther; great-grandmother of Bear and Penny Stephens and Julia Crowther. Helen delighted in dancing and met her husband at a dance hall. Her dance card was always full but that evening there was one empty slot. To her dismay Gil asked her to dance (he wasn’t the best dancer) and the rest is a beautiful history. She also found joy in selflessly caring for her family while extending her love and support to all those fortunate to know her. She was the most sacrificing person and will be missed by many people. Helen made the world a more beautiful place. The Lord called upon her and she is a peace in Heaven. Thanks to Fr. Mark of St. Thomas More Church for administering the last rites on a moments notice. At Helen’s request there will be no viewing or visitations. Services and interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies will be private. Arrangements by Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes.
