Irene Louise Jones

Irene L. Jones, 88,  born on January 29, 1935, of Trunkeyville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, on March 22nd 2023. Irene was the daughter of Dr. Benjamin L. Jones and Irene Probst-Jones.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law,  Louis G. Nardi. She is survived by her sister MaryAnn Nardi, her niece Irene Nardi-Leonard (caregiver), and nephews Stephen and Benjamin Nardi and their children. Irene was a 1953 graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School. She was a 1957 graduate of Carnegie Technological University. Irene worked for Mt. Lebanon School district, as the head of the food services from 1958-1991. Irene spent retirement in Trunkeyville, Pennsylvania, knitting and sewing by the Allegheny River, If you wish to make a memorial contribution, they can be made to the West Hickory Fire Department P.O.
