James Hugh McAnulty, Jr.

James Hugh McAnulty, Jr., 87, of Providence Point, Scott Township, formerly of Mt. Lebanon, died June 29, 2021.  Son of the late Elsie R and James H McAnulty, Sr.; beloved husband for 65 years of Joan Huston McAnulty; devoted father of Jan (Paul) Mitro, Carol (Joe) Petti, Linda (Mark) Wood; loving grandfather of Greg (Abigail) Mitro, Lisa Mitro, JJ Petti.  Jim graduated from Dormont High School class of 1951.  He attended Westminster College and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1955.  Jim was an avid sports enthusiast playing baseball, basketball and football, and a diehard Pittsburgh sports fan.  In 1968, he was one of the founders of Mt. Lebanon Girls Softball.  Jim was a Vice President of Mellon Bank working in Corporate Trust the majority of his 40 year career.  Jim was an Elder at Dormont Presbyterian Church and an Elder and Treasurer at Bower Hill Community Church. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 17, 2021, 10 AM, at Bower Hill Community Church, 70 Moffett St, Pittsburgh, PA 15243 with a reception following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bower Hill Community Church or East Liberty Family Health Care Center, 6023 Harvard St, Pittsburgh, PA 15206.
