Joanne B. (Beitler) Beyer

age 82, of Providence Point on Sunday, December 26, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Richard Beyer. Joanne was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on April 21, 1939 a daughter of the late William A. and Rose M. (Bailey) Beitler. She graduated from Mount Mercy College with a degree in nutrition and worked as a dietician for the Mt. Lebanon School District, after which she worked for a large charitable foundation in Pittsburgh, rising to become President. She was a member of the Valley Brook Country Club, the Duquesne Club, and was a member of the board of directors at Saint Vincent College. She is survived by and will be missed by her sister Irene Kennedy (Joseph) and brother William J. Beitler (Bjorg); her niece, nephews and many grand-nieces and -nephews. There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated in Saint Bernard Church (St. Michael the Archangel Parish) on Thursday morning, December 30 at 10:00. Internment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery will follow. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation of Western PA or to the Saint Bernard Church Angel Fund, 311 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15216.
