A member of the U.S. Occupation Army after WW II, a graduate of Duquesne University, a lifelong CPA, and after many years retired from the Hillman Company. Golf was his passion and he never stopped his pursuit of perfection of the game, encouraging those around him to do the same. His love of music inspired him to purchase a component stereo system well before this became common practice. Big Band and Classical LPs were played in his home from then on. Joe was known for his keen wit and jovial personality. The memory of his one-liners will live on in his children and grandchildren. Though his humor crept into every aspect of his life, so also did his great faith and high moral standards. He was steadfast in his beliefs, love of his family, and devoted and active member of St. Bernard Church, Mt. Lebanon for over 60 years. Truly blessed are his family, relatives, and friends to have known Joe, and are confident at his passing he heard the words, “well done my good and faithful servant” He will be deeply missed. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00pm.
