Judy G. Friedman

Judy Friedman passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on November 13, 1941, she grew up in the back of the family’s Friedman’s Foodland grocery stores. Judy attended Elmira College in New York State graduating with a degree in art. She taught art for Pittsburgh public schools. Her students won numerous awards and always had entries in the popular downtown banner competition. An avid traveler, Judy and her lifelong friend Janet toured the countries of Europe. After art, real estate became Judy’s passion. She flipped a number of houses in the South Hills, selling some and keeping others as rentals. Judy was a kind person who helped her students and friends in many ways. She will be greatly missed. Friends are welcome to a gathering on Sunday, March 2, from 1-4pm at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road Pittsburgh, PA 15216.
