On Friday, March 24th, Kathleen Connolly Eggerton, 90, of Castle Shannon, PA, was called home to be with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior. Kathy, the wife of the late Robert W. Eggerton, cherished mother of four; Christine (Chuck) Peterson, Linda (Tony) Killmeyer and the late William and Kevin; loving “Grammy” of Katie (Bill) McWilliams, Chuck (Megan) Peterson, Kelly (Brandon) Bunnell, Chelsea (Walt) Peterson and Anthony (Christina) Killmeyer; also survived by her 8 great-grandchildren, Molly, Grace, Madison, Landon, Isla, Charlotte, Winnie, Baby Bunnell and many extended family members. She was born on July 14, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA. A graduate of Cathedral High School, she married her husband of 64 years in 1954. Kathy worked at Bell Telephone in her earlier years, then became a homemaker and also an Avon Lady for 17 years. Her hobbies included singing, reading books, watching Jeopardy, playing Scrabble, her monthly card club with neighborhood ladies, and her beloved bingo. Kathy had many nicknames - Karate Kal, Flossie, White Top, Snowflake, Miss Daisy - all given to her by her late husband. However, she was most proud of being “Grammy”, as she would share stories about her grandchildren and great grandchildren to anyone who would listen. Family and friends will be received at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon on Thursday, March 30th, at 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in St. Paul of The Cross Parish, St. Winifred Church on Friday, March 31st at 10:00 AM.
