Kathryn Johnson

Kathryn M. “Kathy” (Bittner) Johnson, of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Slippery Rock, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the age of 61.

Daughter of the late John and Laverne Bittner; wife of the late Don Johnson; mother of Tara (Justin) Work and Leah Rinier; grandmother of Aubrey, Jake, Elliana and Brooke Work; sister of John (Vicki) Bittner, Anthony (Mindi) Bittner, Linda (Don) Pugliese, Tom Bittner, Lisa (Ian) Arlia and the late Debbie (Fran) Elder and Richard Bittner. Kathy is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Kathy’s most favorite role in life was being a grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her 4 grandchildren, baking cupcakes, playing board games and hosting sleep overs. She was a wonderful cook and always loved cooking for family, friends and special occasions. Later in life her favorite place was sitting on her patio chatting with her neighbors.

Friends recieved on Friday, November 22, from 5:00pm until the time of service at 7:00pm at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road Pittsburgh, PA 15216.
