Age 43, of Castle Shannon, went home to Jesus on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at home surrounded by family after a valiant battle with colon cancer. Loving and caring mother and best friend forever of Chelsea Forcier. Born August 16, 1977 to parents Thomas and Donna Buettner. Beloved sister of Thomas Buettner, Jr. (Michelle) and Heather Garcia; preceded in death by her sister, Joy Lynn; her grandparents, Albert and Stella Buettner and Steve and Rita Grivnow; her uncle “Kelly” and her aunt Ruth Ann Donatelli; dear niece of Steve Grivnow (Cathy), Raymond Buettner (Brenda) and Vincent Donatelli; loving aunt to Kaylee Gross, Oscar and Alicia Garcia and Brooks Buettner; also survived by numerous cousins. Leigh was an employee of Allegheny General Hospital and briefly worked at St. Clair Hospital. “She truly did think of others before herself. She didn’t need a lot in life and just living life made her happy, especially with Chelsea.” The family will receive friends at Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes, 1008 Castle Shannon Blvd., Castle Shannon on Sunday, January 24, 2021 from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. and again on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass in St. Anne Church (St. Paul of the Cross Parish) on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. (Friends are asked to go directly to church). Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery. Masks and social distancing will be required at the funeral home, church and cemetery.
