Age 92, of Mt. Lebanon, PA, peacefully on Thursday, May 6, 2021. Beloved wife for 54 years of the late William J. Lehrman; devoted mother of Jean Marie Hitchins (John) of Roanoke, VA, William G. Lehrman II (Karen) of Ellicott City, MD and James A. Lehrman (Denise) of Pleasanton, CA; sister of the late Lorraine (Ralph) Sylvester, Duane “Sonny” (Grace) Orefice, Irene (survived by Donald) Vecchio, and Paul (Eileen) Orefice; loving grandmother of Christine, David, Claire, Jack, Tiffany, and Ava; great-grandmother of Leo, Jude, Arden, Elowen and Henry; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lois served as secretary and assistant at Howe Elementary School in Mt. Lebanon for three decades, influencing generations of students. An active member of the community, she was a charter member St. Winifred’s Catholic Parish, past president of its Christian Mothers Association, and member of the Altar Society. Always an avid reader, Lois contributed to her community as a Junior Great Books leader at St. Winifred’s Elementary School and volunteered at Mt. Lebanon Public Library by helping to initiate the successful “Twice Told Tales” program. She was life-long participant in the Library’s Shakespeare reading group and book discussion group, as well as a volunteer reader at The Baptist Home in Mt. Lebanon for many years. In addition, Lois loved to swim. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Memorial Chapel, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon on Thursday May 13, from 4:00 until 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Winifred’s Church, 550 Sleepy Hollow Road, Mt. Lebanon on Friday May 14 at 10.00am.
