Lois G. Yates

Age 91, of Mount Lebanon, surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Beloved wife for 66 years of John W. Yates; devoted mother of Maryanne G. (James) Pusateri, Christine I. (Bruce) Lane, Kathleen J. (John) Molyneaux and John J. (Julie) Yates; loving grandmother of Christina, Lauren, ‘J D’, Katie, Michael, Emmaleigh, Joe, Jennifer and Jacqueline; great grandmother of Viviana, Simone, Margaret, Thomas and Phillip; stepmother of Amelia and Charlotte; sister of Joan Dorman (Ralph)  Hathaway; also survived by nieces and nephews. Lois retired as an Executive Secretary with Allegheny Ludlum Steel and was a featured model in many of their advertisements. She was a woman with strong faith and devotion, was an active member of Saint Winifred Church where she taught Sunday School. In addition, Lois established and volunteered at the St. Winifred Food Pantry which is still thriving today. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon on Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Bernard Church (St. Michael the Archangel Parish) Friday at Noon. Interment, National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. If desired, memorials may be made to St. Winifred Food Pantry, 550 Sleepy Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15228.
