Lois Geraldine "Gerry" (Dravo) Oelschlager

Passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the age of 105. Gerry was born in McKeesport, PA on December 21, 1916 a daughter of the late Lewis and Margaret (Dauble) Dravo. Beloved wife for 44 years of the late Walter J. Oelschlager; devoted mother of James Dravo (Vanita) Oelschlager and Corinne Oelschlager (Howard) Potter; loving grandmother of Mark and Annie; great-grandmother of seven; also survived by nieces, nephews and her beloved caregiver, Minka. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, Gerry became a devoted high school teacher. She met her husband Walter while teaching in Glenshaw, PA. She later taught in Bay Village, Ohio for 4 years and subsequently in Mount Lebanon, PA. Gerry was a member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star, an advisor to the Rainbow Girls and a 50 + year member of her beloved Sorority, Delta Delta Delta. On December 21, 2016, Gerry enjoyed a grand and glorious celebration of her 100th Birthday with her entire immediate family at Providence Point Retirement Community where she lived.
