Passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the age of 105. Gerry was born in McKeesport, PA on December 21, 1916 a daughter of the late Lewis and Margaret (Dauble) Dravo. Beloved wife for 44 years of the late Walter J. Oelschlager; devoted mother of James Dravo (Vanita) Oelschlager and Corinne Oelschlager (Howard) Potter; loving grandmother of Mark and Annie; great-grandmother of seven; also survived by nieces, nephews and her beloved caregiver, Minka. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, Gerry became a devoted high school teacher. She met her husband Walter while teaching in Glenshaw, PA. She later taught in Bay Village, Ohio for 4 years and subsequently in Mount Lebanon, PA. Gerry was a member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star, an advisor to the Rainbow Girls and a 50 + year member of her beloved Sorority, Delta Delta Delta. On December 21, 2016, Gerry enjoyed a grand and glorious celebration of her 100th Birthday with her entire immediate family at Providence Point Retirement Community where she lived. Services and Interment will be private at the family’s convenience. If desired, memorials may be made to Oak Clinic for Multiple Sclerosis, 3838 Massillon Road, Suite 360, Uniontown, Ohio 44685.
