Manuel L. "Mannie" Brodie

Passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 after battling cancer for the past year. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen Therese (Bourke) Brodie for 57 years; devoted and loving father of Keith Jacob Brodie, Laura Bourke Brodie and the late Craig Michael Brodie; proud grandfather of Brent Michael and Bradley Allen Brodie. Mannie was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for forty years for McGraw - Hill Publishing and was the past president of the Pennsylvania Educational Sales Club. He was a member of the First Unitarian Universalist Church where he served as a teacher and board member. He will be remembered for being a loyal friend and a wonderful father and for having a fabulous sense of humor. Mannie will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Services and interment will be private. Contributions in Mannie’s memory can be made to OCRA, Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance or a charity of the donor’s choice.
