Marie Grace (Feldmeier) Burner

Marie Grace (Feldmeier) Burner died on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at 98 years of age. Born to Marie and Sebastian Feldmeier in Pittsburgh, 1925, Marie graduated from St Peter’s School and the Girls’ Vocational School then secured a position working at the Middletown Air Depot during WWII where she met her future husband, George Burner, at an ice skating reservoir. George deployed with the Navy and Marie returned to Pittsburgh working at Union Switch and Signal until George finished his tour of duty and proposed. They married in 1947 and raised 4 children in Castle Shannon. Marie attended Duffs Business School graduating with a concentration in Business Machines then worked as a bank teller and comptometer machine operator.  Marie was George’s beloved wife for 72 years until his death in 2019. She is survived by her children; Robert (Jeanne) Burner, Lynn (Burner) Ritter, Harry (Therese) Burner, Gary (Lynn) Burner, 11 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren, friends, and extended family. Friends will  be received at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes 1008 Castle Shannon Blvd. on Wednesday August 2, 2-5 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will  be celebrated in St Paul of the Cross Parish/St Anne Church Thursday August 3 at 9:30 am followed by interment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. She devoted her life to others and especially to family. In lieu of donations, call or visit a friend or family member and give them a hug or kiss.
