Marilyn J. (Preis) Klein

Marilyn J. Klein (Preis), 87, of Mt. Lebanon, was reunited with her husband of 68 years, Robert A. Klein, on June 4, 2020. She is survived by her children; Robert A. Klein, Jr. (Karen), Carol J. Wallace (Pat), Susan J. Kaercher (Tom), Nancy L. Gonzales, and Marianne K. Villella (Terry) as well as her sister, Janice Hoffman. She was lovingly known as “Gram” and “Honey” to seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Marilyn was preceded in death by her son, Richard F. Klein (Michele), her parents, Frank L. and Clara C. Preis, as well as her sisters, Joanne Thomas and Carol Bova. Family meant the world to her.

Born February 7, 1933 in Overbrook, PA, Marilyn graduated from Baldwin High School in 1950. Afterwards, she was employed by Bell Telephone as an operator. In 1958, Bob opened Klein’s Citgo, which she worked tirelessly to support. A caregiver at heart, Marilyn felt called to nursing and received her LPN degree after attending Community College of Allegheny County. For many years she was a smiling face on 4B at St. Clair Hospital. She and Bob enjoyed spending time at their Hilton Head Island condominium.

All are welcome to attend a funeral Mass on Wednesday, June 10, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 311 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, PA.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Mt. Lebanon, PA or Bridges Hospice, 515 Pleasant Valley Road, Trafford, PA  15085.
