Marlene Sakulsky Obituary

Marlene Beth Sakulsky, 67, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, on July 30, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Jacob (Jerry) Sakulsky, her sister, Debbi and brother, David. She leaves behind her sister, Carol Chadman (Dennis), four nephews, a niece, and many friends.  Marlene was born in March 1958 in Beaver Falls, PA. In September 1979, she began her long career at PNC Financial Services. For over 41 years – until her retirement in February 2021 – Marlene was a dear friend to many and a highly valued, respected, and knowledgeable employee (lovingly referred to as 1-800-Marlene). Her coworkers cherished her positive outlook, her willingness to help, and her strong sense of loyalty. Her workspace always had a dish of chocolate (usually Sarris) to share and was adorned with happy things that couldn’t help but spark joy for the entire office. Her collections reflected her passion for all things purple, frogs, the Steelers, Mickey Mouse, Snowbabies, Hallmark Holiday Ornaments, and decorations reflecting her PNC pride.

After retirement, Marlene continued to enjoy her collections at home and was able to meet her many friends for frequent lunch dates. Her light will continue to shine bright for all who were fortunate to call her family or friend.

Friends will be received at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes 222 Washington Road Mt. Lebanon on Tuesday from 12-2 PM. Interment will be private.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Marlene’s honor.  Please do not send flowers.
