Marlene Ann Volovich

Age 86, of Mt. Lebanon, on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Beloved wife for 51 years of Thomas C. Volovich. Daughter of the late Francis and Ann (Jackson) Staudt of West View who were the former owners of the Five Mile House where Marlene worked nights and Saturdays. Special cousins, Joseph Patrick “Packy” Laverty and Kathy Rudolph; sister-in-law of James Volovich (the late Tiffany); dear aunt of Marc Volovich (Paige) and Paul Volovich (Scharmagne); great-aunt of Reece, Elle, William and Madeline; also survived by many other cousins.

Marlene graduated Valedictorian of her high school class at Mt. Assisi Academy. While in high school she worked for Fr. Barton Rule who was the National Director of Christian Mothers. After graduation, Marlene went to work in the Accounts Receivable Department of Braun Baking Company until her retirement. She loved house parties and Steeler tailgate parties with the “Committee”.

Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon on Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in Saint Bernard Church (St. Michael the Archangel Parish) on Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery - Troy Hill.
