Age 84, of Mt. Lebanon, peacefully, on Sunday March 14, 2021. Daughter of the late Walter E. and Elizabeth Z. Bloomstrand of Jamestown, NY; wife of the late William R. Solomon, Jr.; mother of Scott (Katherine) Dunlop, Randall Dunlop (Theresa Diana) and Cynthia Roth; step-mother of Emily Solomon; grandmother of Hannah (Andrew) Krasnow, Samuel Dunlop, Molly Dunlop, Katherine Dunlop and William and Elizabeth Roth; great-grandmother of Palmer Krasnow. Martha, or Marty as she was known by close friends, and “Beebop” as she was known by family, was a gracious and loving person. She was artistic and elegant in everything she did. Fashion, cooking, and gardening were a few of her exceptional talents. While her family was always her first love, it was followed by her enormous love for dogs, of which she owned many during her life. Martha’s favorite quote was, “Dog spelled backwards is God.” She possessed a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. Martha was always kind to one and all. A gentle spirit, she tried to spread smiles wherever she went. She was a philanthropist to a great many charities, and her loss will be greatly felt by those fortunate enough to know her. She will be missed and her memory cherished. The family would like to thank Asbury Heights for taking care of Martha in her final year. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to South Hills Pet Rescue https://www.southhillspetrescue.org/
