Age 79, of Mount Lebanon, peacefully surrounded by her family, on Sunday, June 27, 2021. Beloved wife for 56 years of David J. Malinaric; devoted mother of Allyson M. (Brian) Martin and Emily A. (Steve) Georgescu; loving grandmother of Robert Martin, Jules and James Georgescu; sister of Paul (Nancy) and John (Linda) Ohnhaus; also survived by nieces and nephews, and cat Pepper. Mary Kay was born into a loving family in Mt. Oliver, PA, graduating from St. Canice High School. After graduating, she started her career as a proud secretary at Bell Telephone before raising her family in Mt. Lebanon. More recently, Mary Kay was a Secretary to the Guidance Department with Mount Lebanon School District and also assisted her husband Dave in his Video Production Business. She was a member of Saint Anne Church and for a while, sang in their Choir. Entertaining guests in her home, antiquing, reminiscing about growing up in Mt. Oliver and the South Side, as well as family trips to Presque Isle in Erie, PA, were among her favorite pastimes. She appreciated a good sense of humor, was a great listener and would never miss the opportunity to pay a compliment. Additionally, she was inherently feisty and very patriotic. To know Mary Kay is to know that she was a lifelong cat lover, always having at least one as a companion. Above all, Mary Kay valued time with her loving husband, daughters, grandchildren, extended family and friends. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon on Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Rev. Thomas J. Burke at Saint Anne Church (St. Paul of the Cross Parish) on Friday morning at 9:30. Interment will be Private. If desired, memorials may be made to a Charity of Your Choice.
