Michael Becker

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael “Mike” Becker, of Scott Township (formerly of Mt. Lebanon), who passed away at home at the age of 66 on August 24, 2026.

Son of Robert Becker and the late Kathleen Sughrue; beloved husband of 42 years to Kathy (Gallagher) Becker; father of Stephanie (Alex Baney) Becker and Jessica (Joe) Rosansky; Pop Pop of Teagan and Joey Rosansky; brother of Bobby (Pri) Becker, Danny (Kathy) Becker, and Cindy (Dave) Benestelli. Brother in-law of late Tom Gallagher (survived by Bev), survived by sister in-law Mary Ellen (Ed) Campion, and John (Trish) Gallagher. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Mike's superpower was the love he showed his family, which was the driving force behind everything he did. Every part of who he was came back to the people he cherished most.

He was the Pop Pop who lit up around his grandkids, the dad with a quick wit that could lighten any mood in the room, and a husband whose devotion to his wife never wavered. He was a fierce protector of the people he loved, the kind of guy you always wanted in your corner. He loved animals, loved trips to the beach with his family, and was a die-hard Steelers fan who loved to root them on from his favorite spot on the couch.

But more than anything, Mike showed up for his family, again and again, with humor, warmth, protection, and a love that never asked for anything in return.

Friends received on Saturday, August 29 from 12 noon until the time of service at 4pm at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15216.
