age, 86, of Scott Township, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2023, with his family holding his hands. After falling in love at first sight with Patricia on the streetcar at age 15, sixty-five years of marriage resulted in a long list of family who already miss his company at the table. Alongside Patricia, Michael is survived by his four children, Beth (Wayne) Evron, Michael (Anissa) Bianco, Rebecca (the late Brian) McKeever and David (Jessica) Bianco; sister Anna (Richard) Van Steenbergh; grandchildren Josh (Courtney), Emily (Colin), Lucy, Sam, Katie, Joseph, Daniel, Michael, Cole, and Owen; and great grandchildren Reese, Briar, Annie, Harris, and Holden. Predeceased by beloved parents Andrew and Frances; siblings Rose (Joseph), Anthony (Eileen), and John (Shirley surviving); he spoke of them warmly, and often. It takes a strong man to earn the nickname ‘Bruiser,’ and a stronger man to deserve it until the end—from his work in IBEW Local Union #5 to his scotch and cigar of choice. Whether hunting at his farm, lending his daily armchair expertise to Jeopardy, or serving as his family’s dedicated “fixer,” he led with a big Italian personality, fierce dedication, and a collection of catchphrases. [These have been redacted as explicit content, but never failed to make his grandchildren laugh.] He made Christmas dinner, conversations and his loved ones’ lives richer. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon on Friday, April 28th from 4:00 until 7:00pm. We will be meeting for a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Grace Church (St. Michael the Archangel Parish) Kane Boulevard, Scott Twp. on Saturday morning at 10 o’clock. Entombment will be Private. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Make a Wish Foundation, 707 Grant Street #3700, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
