Nancy Clarke Park

Beloved Nancy Clarke Park of Mt. Lebanon, 88, passed away on Tuesday January 5, 2021.  She was the daughter of James Clarke and Jeanne Fankle Clarke of Sewickley where Nancy was born and spent her young years.  She was always fond of Sewickley, graduating from Osborne Elementary and Sewickley High where she met her husband James Grimes Park.  Nancy graduated from Smith College then married Jim in 1953.  They raised 3 daughters in Mt. Lebanon.  Nancy loved her family and guided them through years of fun and educational activities, sports, trips and adventures.  She and Jim travelled frequently and loved to play golf.   She played countless hands of bridge,  enjoyed needlework, listening to classical music, and reading.  She was a dedicated Steeler fan and attended home games for decades.  Nancy loved to drive and go places to explore or research the family genealogy.  She knew fascinating stories of family and Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania history.   She will be missed by many friends, young and old. Nancy is predeceased by her husband Jim and oldest daughter Barbara.  Surviving are her daughters Sally Park and Marilyn (Bob) Korasidas, her sister Mary Ann Baldridge, and her brother-in-law Dale Park, Jr. Arrangements by Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, Mt. Lebanon.  Services at the funeral home and Sewickley Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
