Nancy L. Wells-Kratofil, of Mt. Lebanon, PA, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, December 30, 2024, at the age of 77 years old.
Wife of Nicholas Kratofil. Beloved mother of Christian G. Wells, Nikki M. (Josh) Abig, Lynn W. Lewis, and the late Glenn A. Wells II. Loving Grandmother of Jackson G. Abig, age 17, Lyla P. Abig, age 14, Anderson G. Lewis, age 12, and Henry D. Lewis, age 10. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Dorothy Treskot and her brother Greg Treskot.
Nancy was a friend to all. She enjoyed reading, cooking, entertaining, traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Nancy operated a successful real estate business including the rehabilitation and conversion of a historic fire station located in the southside of Pittsburgh. The fire station attained inclusion on the National Historic Registry. One of her most notable accomplishments was being the first female President of the Mt. Lebanon high school men's lacrosse program in the 1990s. In this position, she helped the club become a lettered sport thereby opening up college scholarship opportunities for all players. Nancy loved to entertain and enjoyed participating in multiple women’s book clubs for over 20 years.
Friends received on Thursday, January 2, from 5-7pm and on Friday, January 3, from 9–11am, at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15216. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 3, at 11:30am at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, St. Bernard Church, 311 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15216. Interment to follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. After the burial the family would like to welcome everyone to a celebration of life at 1:30pm at Traveler's Rest Hotel, 27 S 6th St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
