Patricia Ann Egler

On Thursday, October 12, 2023, Patricia “Pat” Ann Egler, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the age of 69.

Loving wife of 39 years to G. David Egler; mother of Renee C. and Steven M. Egler; sister of Arlene (the late Edward R. Jr.) Falvo, Janet Busanic (Chino), and Carol A. (Albert) Leibold; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Anna Kuk and sister Gloria (Robert) Stricker.

Pat graduated from Montefiore School of Nursing and went on to work as a registered nurse for over 30 years at various Pittsburgh hospitals, most notably UPMC Mercy Hospital.  She was perfectly suited for her job as a nurse as her kindness and generosity was shown by her every day of her life.

Pat fought breast cancer in 2000 and metastatic breast cancer in 2015 until her passing.  She always had faith in God and positive attitude that she would beat this disease and lead a long and productive life.  Her family is grateful to have had her with them these past eight years and Pat will be sorely missed. 

Friends received on Sunday, October 15 from 1-5pm and Monday, October 16 from 3-7pm at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15216. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 17 at 10am at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, St. Bernard Church, 311 Washington Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15216. Interment to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
