Age 75, of Castle Shannon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 12, 1950 in Mt. Oliver, PA, daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Dehn.
Married 53 years, and sweethearts from St. Joseph High School, Patti & Steve bought their first home in Carrick. She held various positions at Lyman’s Savings and Loan, Bronder’s Ceramic Studio and finally retiring from Process Reproductions.
Retirement was often spent baking, crafting and “putzing” in her garden. During the warmer months, Patti especially looked forward to trips to their camp by the river and visits with her “Farm Family” in Ohio, especially when the grandkids could come along.
Being a grandmother was a joy Patti held dear. Sleepovers, recitals, concerts and sporting events were attended happily. She spent hours with her grandkids playing games, crafting, or quietly sitting by the river. She couldn’t spoil them enough, and they all adored her.
Patti will always be remembered as the loving wife of her devoted husband Steve Rattay; precious mother of Scott (Diane) Rattay and Julia (Justin) Mankey; cherished “NiNi” of Joshua Rattay, Elliana Mankey, Chelsea Rattay and Xavier Mankey; loving sister of Joan (the late Robert) Grill; dear cousin of Joann Annett; also survived by dozens of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
All will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon on Sunday afternoon, September 20th from 1:00 until 4:00 o’clock.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Anne Church (St. Paul of the Cross Parish) 400 Hoodridge Drive, Pittsburgh on Monday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will be private.
