Peter K. Bruening

Peter Bruening, age 65, of Coraopolis, PA, passed away on Tuesday December 24th, 2024.

Born in Arlington, VA and raised in Mt. Lebanon, PA, Peter was a lifelong Steeler’s fan and resident of the Pittsburgh area. He graduated from West Virginia University in 1982 and then obtained his master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1984. 

Peter was a loving father, husband, brother, son, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Michelle, his two children, Jaye and Ross, his two grandchildren, Kenna and Freya, his brother and sister, David and Lisa, along with his step-children, Jake and Jessica, and his many loving friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Dave Bruening. 

Peter was known for his humor, his kindness, and for his passion for music, all of which he shared often and generously with the people around him. 

A visitation and memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4th, at Abundant Grace Church West Hills, 1798 Brodhead Rd, Crescent, PA 15046. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., and a service will be held at 11:00 a.m. To accommodate the great volume of Pete's loved ones from far and wide, a private Celebration of Life is being held on Saturday, January 25th."
