Peter A. Highberg

Age 79, at South Hills Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, formerly of Upper St. Clair, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Loving father of Erica Tolin of Pittsburgh and Ingrid (Samuel) Reid of Colorado; proud grandfather of Violet and Amelia Tolin and Erik, Anders and Oskar Reid; brother of Paul Highberg of Vermont.  He is also survived by his ex-wife Vivian Highberg of Florida.   He spent his formative years in West Hartford, Connecticut and later obtained a B.S. and B.A. from Columbia University, as well as an M.B.A from Northwestern University.  For many years Peter worked as a marketing manager at Black Box and later for American Insurance Life. He will always be remembered for his wry humor and cunning wit.  Peter was a pianist, a scholar of historic religion and philosophy, and a loving father.  A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, go smoke a cigar and have a glass of vodka - Cheers to a life well-lived!
