Phyllis Richards Sechrist

87, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, October 26, 2020. Beloved daughter of the late Harris R. and Mildred Friend Richards; devoted mother of Kim and Kia Sechrist; loving grandmother of Dillon Kunzwiler; sister of the late Don Richards; sister-in-law of Nancy Richards; aunt of Kirby, Hugh and Margaret; Jonathan and Jennifer; Michael, Susan, Tim, Barbara, Tracy and Andrea; also survived by close family friend, Matthew J. Miller. Phyllis attended the Carnegie Institute Museum School, Pittsburgh; The Pennsylvania State University (B.S., M.Ed.); and University of Wisconsin, Madison Graduate School. She was a longtime member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church. Phyllis was a home economics teacher and an accomplished artist. Viewing hours have been omitted. Everyone is welcome to attend her Memorial Service at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, 3319 W. Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15216, on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at 4:00 p.m. Guests will be received at the church following the service, where some of Phyllis's beautiful artwork will be displayed. The family requests no flowers please. If desired, contributions in her memory can be made to Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church.
