Age 96, of Castle Shannon, peacefully at home, on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Florian G. Krappweis; devoted mother of Robert, Dennis (Barb), Diane, Janet (William) Mitchell, Thomas (Lorri) and Edward (the late Leslie) Krappweis; sister of Thomas Opferman, the late Beatrice, Bernadette, Margarite, Florence, Mary Ruth, Paul, Ray; also survived by 13 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Regina attended St. Anne's grade school and Mt. Lebanon High School. Following high school, she worked as an executive secretary for Duquesne Light. She was completed devoted to caring for family, including extended family. Regina devoutly practiced her Catholic faith for 96 years as a member of St. Anne's Church. Family and friends will gather for a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Saint Anne Church – St. Paul of the Cross Parish on Monday morning at 9:30. If desired, memorials may be made to St. Paul of the Cross Respect Life group or Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute Fight RP, in support of retinal disease research.
