Age 76, of Pittsburgh, unexpectedly on Thursday evening, August 6, 2026. Son of the late Zygmunt and Mary (Gazda) Puznakoski; brother of Rita M. Ladanyi of Medford, MA.

Fr. Gilbert was ordained on May 3, 1975, at St. Paul’s Cathedral of Pittsburgh by the late Bishop Vincent M. Leonard. During his 51 years as Priest, Fr. Gilbert’s Parochial Vicar assignments took him to New Castle, Elwood City and Pittsburgh. In addition, he served as Chaplain for Jefferson Hospital, UPMC Shadyside, Allegheny General Hospital, St. Clair Hospital, Kane Regional and Asbury Heights.

Family and friends will be welcomed Our Lady of Grace Church (St. Michael the Archangel Parish) 300 Kane Boulevard Scott Twp. on Monday morning, August 17, 2026, from 10:00 until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 o’clock, with Bishop William Waltersheid as Main Celebrant. Interment will be private in St. Mary Cemetery, Scott Township.
