Age 94, peacefully surrounded by loving family, on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Beloved husband of P. Kay (Allison) Horm and the late Rosalie (Austria); also survived by Kay’s family whom Dick cherished, including David wife Sarah, Jesse wife Judy, Chad wife Ashley, Rebecca and Matthew wife Bobby Jo.; grandchildren; Jason, Brandon, Halle, Kendra, Hunter, Adam, Hanna, Haley, Carlie Jo, Abigail, Matt, Nick, Todd, Austin and Emmalee; also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and a special friend, Shane.
Dick was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, served in the Medium Tank Company 350th Infantry Regiment and was a Training NCO at Fort Jackson SC. His overseas duty was in Austria, he was always so proud of his service.
He eventually went to work for Mellon Bank, the former J&L Steel and the former Equitable Gas as a programmer analyst.
He loved baseball, trains, and guns but most of all his model airplanes and beer. He liked beach vacations and warm weather cruises.
In compliance with Dick’s wishes there will be no calling hours; service and interment will be private.
