Age 86, of South Park, PA, passed away with family by his side, on Saturday, November 15, 2025. Beloved husband of Flora Nichole ‘Nikki’ (Cicchino) Talbot-Busch; devoted father of Karen Bianchi (Jeff), Robert Busch, Jr. (Robin), Raymond Busch (Tara), Judy Hagerty; stepfather of Chris Talbot (Glori) and Heather Cambest (Jason); grandfather of Jessica Weiss, Seth Newman (Meghan), Daniel Busch (Amanda), Joshua Busch(Lillian), Nolan Bianchi (Madeline), Silas Busch (Kari), Zachary Busch, Jordan Sluder (Hayden), Meghan Busch, Jonathan Busch, Anna Busch, Tyler Hagerty, Logan Busch, Dylan Busch; great grandfather of Judah, Matthias, James, Cole, Lydia, Theodora, Kyla, Karlee, and Rowan; step grandfather of Addison Talbot, Quinn Talbot; son of the late Andrew and Bertha Busch; brother of Madeline Lavorini, the late Flora Budd (Matthias), Anthony Busch (Peggy), Regina Synowiec (Walter), Herman Busch (Catherine) and Eugene Busch (Patricia); father-in-law of the late Robin Busch.
Growing up on the South Side of Pittsburgh, Bob loved playing baseball with his friends in the neighborhood and attending Pirate games at Forbes Field, where he was actually present for the filming of the original movie, Angels in the Outfield. In 1959, he enlisted in the United States Army. During his service, he was deployed to Korea and served as a tank loader and cook. He was honorably discharged in 1965. After serving in the Army, Bob began a 30 year career as a Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service. In 1970, he moved to Finleyville, PA, where he raised his family and carried on his love of baseball by coaching his children’s baseball and softball teams. In 1998, he married Nikki, and they had a beautiful life of traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren who are located all over the country. Bob was a member of National Association of Letter Carriers and St. Valentine Catholic Church.
Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon on Friday from 3:00 until 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Valentine Church (Our Lady of Hope Parish) 2710 Ohio Street, Bethel Park on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment in Jefferson Memorial Park. IN LIEU of Flowers, the family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
