Robert R. Rock

Robert “Bob” Rock, 71, of Brentwood, died peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer. The son of the late Mary Louise and Robert Karl Rock. He attended Brentwood HS and served in the Army as a Sergeant, 1st Air Cavalry Division during the Vietnam War. He worked at J&L Steel’s South Side works and later as a union painter. He is preceded in death by his devoted wife, Mary Catherine (Preffer). He is survived by his sons John, Michael (Yvette), and Daniel (Staci), brothers Lawrence (Carol), Ronald (Karen) and Sister Patricia Posch (Tom). He will be at his wife’s side in The National Cemetery of The Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you raise a cold one while playing “Spirit In The Sky” in his honor. A memorial service will be announced at a later date
