Age 69, peacefully at his Mt. Lebanon home, on Tuesday, February 2, 2020. Born and raised in Castle Shannon a son of Marie “Susie” (Fitzroy) and the late Robert G. Waugaman; beloved husband for 40 years of Nancy (Kletter) Waugaman; devoted father of R. Michael (Whitney Egelston), Christopher (Hilary Martzke), Betsy (Carlos Rodelo) and Stephanie (Carly Peterson); brother of Arthur Waugaman; proud grandpa of Beau Waugaman, Brooklyn Waugaman and Charlie Rodelo. Bob attended Keystone Oaks High School, the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater and earned his Masters Degree in Special Education from the University of Minnesota. Bob met Nancy buying Coca Cola from K.K.’s Dairy while test driving cars when he worked as a mechanic at Philips Auto Electric of Castle Shannon. After college, Bob worked at a Home for Crippled Children; he then moved to Erie, PA to work as a Technical Training Instructor for American Sterilizer and was eventually transferred to Minnesota for 26 years. After a car accident, he went back to teaching special education before retiring home to Pittsburgh four years ago where he became a security guard at the U S Steel Building. Bob had a willingness to help anyone, was a great story teller and Cub Scout leader. His passions included scuba diving, cars, along with his knife and gun collection. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 until 4:00. Services and interment will be private.
