Roberta Wilson Obituary

On Monday June 23, 2025, Roberta Wilson, of Upper St. Clair, passed away peacefully at the age of 69 (her Birthday).  A remarkable woman in every way, Roberta led a life full of purpose.  Loving wife (and very best friend) of Jack Porco; mother of Vincent (Seve) Porco, Katy Porco (Alex Delgreco) and the late Raylynn (Matt) Fedor; grandmother "Yaya" of A.J., Luna Ray, Bryson Fedor, Cloe Porco and Caylee Delgreco; sister of Charmaine Landkrohn and Walter Wilson.  She is proceeded in death by her daughter Raylynn, parents, Walter and Thelma Wilson, her brother Raymond and her pets, too many to name.

Roberta graduated from Charters Valley High School ((1974) and the University of Pittsburgh, where she graduated number one in her class at the School of Pharmacy (1979) and in the top ten of her class from University of Pittsburgh School of Law (1983) Professionally Roberta was deeply accomplished having worked as a pharmacist and as a lawyer for the top law firms in Pittsburgh. She was always ready to provide “free” legal advice to her family and friends, most recently supporting her husband in his legal affairs and seeking justice for her deceased daughter, Raylynn.

Above all, in her personal life, Roberta was even more extraordinary. She was devoted to her husband and her family. She was the pillar who held her family together through every chapter of life, freely sharing her wisdom and guidance. Roberta was a strong woman, and her strength and steady presence were our anchor, and her love was the constant we all leaned on. She insisted on maintaining strong family ties and graciously hosted all family gatherings and made each feel like a cherished tradition.  Although Roberta had the means for many things, her most prized physical position was a necklace she wore which held two “lucky stones” one belonging to her mother the other to Raylynn.

Roberta also had a lifelong love of animals. Every pet she ever had was rescued, many with special needs or disabilities. Her home was a sanctuary not just for her loved ones, but for the animals she cared for so deeply. At the time of her passing she was surrounded by her three dogs (Hankie, Jackie and Windy), who always slept next to her. She also was caring for two cats (Julie Jewels and Mimi), a bird (Chico) and two horses (Ed and Ike). Just another example of her compassion.

Roberta maintained a deep faith. It sustained her through joy and sorrow and brought her peace in life’s most difficult moments. We now take comfort in knowing she is resting in the arms of God and reunited with her beloved daughter, Raylynn, who passed away two years ago.

Roberta also had a passion for cooking, gardening, and the art of home design and decoration- each a reflection of her creativity and making life beautiful for those around her.  She started each day early and filled it with projects, never seeming to rest. Jack would tell her she was the best at “creating work’ for them to fill their days. She never took shortcuts.

The family would like to thank everyone who provided Roberta with friendship and love throughout her life. Your kindness meant more than words can express- and will never be forgotten.
