On Friday, September 29, 2023, Roseann Mancuso, of Brookline, formally of Mt. Lebanon, passed away at the age of 74. Daughter of the late Richard and Lillian Mancuso; loving mother of Leslie (Chris) Koon and Sara (Dan) McKosky; sister of Linda (Roy) Lanz; Grandmother of Calder, Neva and Jorden. Roseann is also survived by the father of her children, Roger Cunningham.
Roseann lives on in the stories she passed down. Cherishing her Italian and Hungarian roots, jarring the family’s secret-recipe marinara sauce in Hazelwood, spending her formative years in England, caring for people as a nurse, Christmases in Beaver Falls, and spending time with her family in the mountains were just a few of her greatest joys.
She made friends from all walks of life over the years and always found time to reach out in her gentle, thoughtful way, whether it be through a simple text, dropping a card in the mail or talking for hours on the phone. Some of her biggest passions were nursing, traveling, and volunteering.
A woman of great taste, Roseann would be just as at home at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre or watching the Penguins play on TV with food from Chinatown Inn. Known by many names and titles—mother, sister, nurse, friend—Roseann’s most coveted title later in life was that of grandmother. “Grammy” loved watching Calder, Neva, and Jorden grow up, develop personalities, and become best friends.
Friends received on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 4:00pm until 6:30pm at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15216. Services will be private.
