Russell "Huck" Hamler

Of Baldwin Twp., originally of Mt. Lebanon, on Tuesday Dec. 26, 2023 at age 99 1/2. Beloved husband of the late Jean Hamler for 71 years; father of James (Nan) Hamler, Jeffrey Hamler and the late Ronald Hamler; great-grandfather of Joshua Covington; foster father of Lisa Cote; brother of the late Ben, Dietal and Mabel Hamler, Florence Weber, Liz Rabb, Ida Rodgers, Jim Adams and Nan Threnhauser. Huck was the last of the original Merrill's Marauders. Special thanks to the Veterans Hospital, especially the staff of 6-West for their loving and respectful care. Family and friends will be received at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes 222 Washington Road Mt. Lebanon on Sunday from 1-5 PM. Inurnment at the National Cemetery of The Alleghenies at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
