Sally Lascheid

On Monday, November 27, 2023, Sally (Silhol) Lascheid passed away peacefully in her home, at the age of 92. Daughter of the late Ferdinand and Thelma Silhol; mother of Fred (Lynne) Lascheid, Peter (Beth) Lascheid, and Mary (Tony) George; grandmother of Amanda Lascheid, Luke Lascheid, Matthew Lascheid, Christian George and Alexis George; sister of the late Fred and William “Buzz” Silhol. Born and raised in Bridgeville, Sally lived in Mt. Lebanon for the last 62 years. She graduated high school from Mount Mercy Academy in 1949, then attended Penn State University obtaining a degree in Home Economics. Sally’s family was at the very center of her life. She was a completely devoted and loving mother and grandmother to her three children and five grandchildren.  Sally’s Catholic faith was also very important to her and her desire to help others led her to volunteer at St. Clair Hospital for 50 years, knit scarves for the homeless, and make rosaries for family and friends. Sally loved to travel to Florida and made Jupiter, Florida her second home, where she frequently visited family and friends. As per Sally’s wishes, all services will be private.
