Samuel I. Ponzio

Age 91, of Mount Lebanon, on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025. Beloved husband for 60 years of Rosemarie (Rovitto) Ponzio; devoted father of Vincent S. Ponzio and Michael G (Mary Ellen) Ponzio; loving brother of Richard J. (Carol Lee) Ponzio; brother-in-law of Esther (Dr. Robert) Pavlis; also survived by dear nieces and nephews. Sam was born and raised in Pittsburgh’s Bluff neighborhood. He graduated from Central Catholic High School and Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University).

Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon on Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00 o’clock. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Bernard Church (St. Michael the Archangel Parish) on Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock. Entombment in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
