Age 56, of Castle Shannon, unexpectedly passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 20, 2023. Beloved husband for 24 years of Amy (Lamp) Hindes; loving father of Angela, Stanley Jr. (Jay) and Noah; devoted son of Stanley V. Hindes and Nancy (the late Bernie) Messmer; brother of Betsy (JP) Tomer, Chrissie (Chip) Salerno and the late Amy (survived by Rob) Charley; son in law of Elwood and Kathleen Lamp; brother in law of Vince and Jennifer DelSignore; also survived by Josh Best, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Stan proudly served four years in the U S Army in the infantry as a 101st Airborne Division Soldier. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant in 1989. Stan worked the majority of his career with Thermo Fisher and most recently he was employed at Matergenics. Wolfie was an avid hunter and fisherman at both his camp and the lake. He was a fierce competitor at darts, stick and Risk. Stan volunteered as a youth baseball, basketball and football coach for many years. Family and friends will be received at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 1008 Castle Shannon Boulevard, Castle Shannon on Thursday, May 25, from 4:00 until 7:00 PM with a Memorial Service to follow. Interment with Military Honors will be held in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies (date and time to be announced).
