Susan (Carr) Collins

Susan Collins, 78, died on September 30th, 2024. Sue was born on September 25, 1946 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Herbert and Marjorie Fetterolf. She is survived by her husband Stephen Collins, daughters Denise Fanelli (Thomas) and Heather Geiger (Joel), grandchildren Ryan Fanelli (23), Sean Fanelli (23) Sarah Geiger (10), Kate Geiger (8), sisters JoAnn Kurtz (Ace), Judy Meyer (Howard) and Jill Jesso (Nick) and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband John (Jack) Carr.

Susan grew up in Pittsburgh and graduated from St. Georges High School. While working as a receptionist at Kelly & Cohen she met her first husband, Jack. They lived in Mt. Lebanon where they raised their family. Susan worked as a manager at Rania’s Catering for many years. She later married Steve Collins and retired to Florida.  She had a sharp sense of humor, was an avid reader and baker, a huge Steeler’s fan, and even loved Pickleball before it was trendy.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many.

Friends and family will gather at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes at 222 Washington Road Mt. Lebanon on Saturday from 10 AM until 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sun City Center LifePath Hospice House LifePathHospice Donation - Chapters Health Foundation
